Reminisce Magazine

The following email was received from a reader and sometime contributor to this web site. While the subject is not specifically concerned with Manchester, I believe everyone of a certain age will find it of interest...

Dick:

Have you ever heard of Reminisce Magazine ("The Magazine That Brings Back the Good Times")?

After my wife broke her hip in Maine this past May [2010], while I was in the hospital waiting for her to finish some exercises, I blundered across an issue; and immediately liked it...

It's mostly short articles, remembrances, about growing up in the '20s, '30s, '40s, and '50s, with an occasional smattering of the early '60s. Which mean that I can relate to the articles, at least in general if not in specifics.

Given all this, it struck me as being something that you might want to mention in the MHS-1955 web site. You can get a flavor of it by clicking on
http://www.reminisce.com/.

Believe me, I have no stake in whether you do or not. Just a suggestion.

Jim

The magazine itself is not, I believe, all that well-known. However the articles and pictures, which come from contributors across the country, bespeak a time which most of us can relate to in some way, regardless of the particulars being discussed.

I'd like to expand, though, on what Jim said: Neither he, nor I, nor anyone else associated with this web site will in any way benefit if you choose to take out a subscription to this magazine ... or even link to their web site.

We do feel, however, that it's a publication many of our readers will enjoy.
